Trajectoires de l’inquiétude

The articles in this issue are the fruits of a seminar that reflected on the question of “inquiétude” (restlessness, unease). We had, at first, thought to propose a history of “inquiétude” that sought to trace its evolution as well as its semantic and theoretical bifurcations. In the end, rather than charting the evolution of an idea or emotion, we have attempted to reveal how—at varied times and in different contexts—“inquiétude” traces and animates diverse trajectories (curved and shifting, often sinuous lines).
